What are some ways to make a print newsletter as sustainable as possible?

For a small school, the students want to create a newspaper that's also environmentally friendly. What are some paper options? Inks? Special printers? Thanks for any ideas (this will also be a web paper, but it's determined the print publication will be much more effective).
