Shaft speed in rpm, trying to lower the shaft speed?

i have a 2hp gear motor, with a shaft speed of 1750 rpm...the shaft is .75 inch in dia if i put a wheel with a 15 inch dia will the 15 in still spin at 1750? or will i need to put a sprocket on it and chain to another sprocket to slow it down? many thanks
